The objective is promote an organizational culture in which individual, social, and cultural diversity are viewed as factors that enrich the institutions and contribute to their quality. Representatives from the institutions recently came to Aachen for a kickoff meeting.

"We are very happy to additionally strengthen and expand this viable relationship with joint guidelines for equal opportunities," says Doris Klee, vice-rector for human resources management and development at RWTH. Klee and Manuela Günter, vice-rector for gender equality and diversity at the University of Cologne, initiated the guidelines. "Based on our respective mission statements, strategies, and concepts, we can also develop joint projects and innovative concepts in the field of diversity in the future," says Günter.
