Gender Equality and Diversity

On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, the State Conference for Equal Opportunities Officers at Universities and University Clinics in North Rhine-Westphalia - LaKof NRW for short – invites you to join them in celebrating its 30th anniversary at RWTH Aachen University.  

The title of the event is Gender Equality and Gender Diversity. The conference will look into implementation options for the third gender and early name changes for transgender people, among other matters.

Dr. Ulrike Brands-Proharam Gonzalez, Equal Opportunities Officer at RWTH and speaker for the State Conference, will open the event together with RWTH Rector Professor Ulrich Rüdiger. Dr. Aniela Knoblich and Josephine Bürgel, spokespeople for the bukof Queere* Commission on Gender Equality Policy at Universities and Dr. Lisa Mense, gender researcher and deputy coordinator of the Women's and Gender Research Network NRW will all give talks as part of the conference.

The conference takes place at the Super C building of RWTH, Templergraben 57. The event kicks off the evening before with a network meeting showcasing best practice pitches of individual universities in North-Rhine Westphalia.
