WeltMachtKirche Lecture Series

07/10/2014

In the Winter Semester of 2014/15, the RWTH Institute of Systematic Theology and the Diocese of Aachen will host a lecture series titled “WeltMachtKirche – The Church as a Superpower?”

The lectures in the series are scheduled to take place Mondays, 6:00 to 7:30pm, in the Aula of the Main Building of RWTH Aachen University. The lectures are open to the public, registration is not required.

The lecture series discusses questions such as: Is the church still – or again – a superpower? Or does it just imagine itself to be one? Is it the world that constitutes the church? What are the power relations between the church and the world? Does the world face ecclesiastical power or does the church face secular powers?

Please note that the lectures will be held in German.
