Supervision, Coaching, Advising on Matters of Social Concern and Workplace Conflicts

Jörg Seigies, Claudia Mertens and Hannah Quadflieg are there for you during personal crises, problems in the workplace, and support with work procedures, and provide aid during periods of transition.

 

Our Services

We are a multiprofessional team from the fields of therapy, supervision, and organizational development. Our services are directed towards all employees and affiliates of RWTH, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, and the Aachen Studierendenwerk. We will gladly counsel you in the event of personal crises, conflicts in the workplace, and problems with alcohol, medications, or drugs.

Coaching and Supervision

We also offer coaching and supervision to staff as a special form of counseling which focuses on their particular work roles and positions. A central element of the advising process is for them to reflect on their own conduct. Whether employee, team, organizational unit, or executive – everyone is supported in the process of achieving clarification and progress on the basis of their own insights.

Change Management

We are there for you during processes of change, whether you are an employee, a team, or an executive.

In these times of constant development and change, we will gladly support you in managing those new demands. We are offering organizational development according to social and psychological aspects with a focus on structural analysis and communication.

Healthcare and Prevention

We have developed various seminars and further trainings in the field of occupational healthcare, e.g. on the topics stress management, smoke free programs, addiction prevention, conflict management, and communication training.

We are bound by law – StGB §203 in specific– to maintain strict confidentiality on all information provided to us. We work in a professionally independent manner and are organizationally connected to the University Medical Center.

Your Questions, Our Answers

Will my superiors or colleagues find out if I seek support for counseling?

We are subject to confidentiality, in accordance with Section 203 of the Penal Code.  Nothing you discuss with us is forwarded to a third party.  Furthermore, no information will be provided, on specific individuals who sought our services, unless you wish that that information is forwarded and relieve us from our obligation of confidentiality.

Where can I find the seminars and further trainings offered by the Counseling Team?

Will the Counseling Team also come to departments or to the hospital?

We will gladly arrange for appointments at the hospital or at your office with you

How you can help us with rehabilitation requests?

We are recognized as an advising office for addiction diseases by pension insurance companies and are happy to submit a request for rehabilitation with you. For all other rehabiltation matters, we are happy to offer our support.

What do I do, if I can't reach you by phone?

Advising conversations should take place with as few disturbances as possible. For this reason, we don't answer the phone during appointments. Please leave a message or send us an email. We will answer as soon as possible.
