Division 2.1 - Admissions and Social Affairs
The Division of Admissions and Social Affairs belongs to Department 2.0 - International Office with RWTH Aachen Central University Administration.

Personal office hours are always on Tuesdays from 9am to 12:30pm and Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm. Please book an appointment in advance.

Our Responsibilities
The Division of Admissions and Social Affairs is responsible for prospective international students, international students and international doctoral candidates from their first questions to enrollment. Additionally, visiting researchers and scholars from various programs are supervised by the division.
Admission to Studies and Doctoral Studies
Prospective international students can get information about admissions prerequisites, application, enrollment, and RWTH Aachen's courses of study, and apply and enroll for studies at our university, through the staff for admissions affairs. The division issues reports on formal doctoral studies requirements for students with foreign university degrees and for hiring international scientists and academics.
Application Procedure for International Applicants
The division is in charge of the application procedure for international student applicants, including for subjects with restricted admission and for higher core semesters. Our employees coordinate the English-language Master's programs at RWTH Aachen and evaluate foreign university certificates for academic stays, research work, or employment at the university.
Arrival Made Easy - Initial Support for Guests from Abroad
International scientists and scholarship recipients can receive competent support and advising here upon their arrival. Our team also coordinates the network of graduates from the TU9's German schools abroad.
Our Service Hours
You can usually reach the Admissions team by telephone from Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 4pm. You can reach the Admissions team in person on Tuesdays between 9:30am and 12:30pm and on Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm. To avoid waiting times, please book an appointment in advance.
