Based on years of research the start-up solves some of the biggest problems in these devices. Elevear’s Occlear technology tackles the occlusion effect, which is responsible for a boomy sensation of your own voice as well as footfall sound, and the Idle Noise Reduction suppresses microphone noise beyond physical limitation and below a humanly audible level.

The team is licensing these award-winning and patented audio technologies to leading headphone and hearing aid companies based on a volume-based model. The goal is to bring the technology into "hearables”, which is one of the fastest growing markets in the world with an 36 percent year-on-year growth and a volume of 35 billion USD in 2021.
