U3 Groups
Childcare is extremely important to University employees who become parents and would like to start working again.
The University offers its employees childcare in large daycare centers for children aged four months to three years. Two to three childcare professionals care for nine children in each of the three RWTH U3 groups that are coordinated by the Equal Opportunities Office's Family Services Center according to a flexible and individual concept.

Advising and Registration
You must first complete an advising meeting on the phone or in person in order to register for the U3 groups or be added to a waitling list.
If a spot becomes an available in a group that reflects the parents' request, it is possible to tour the childcare center and meet the staff there. In order to avoid any disturbances or excitement in the groups, visits can only be conducted after prior agreement and if there is a spot available. All questions about the U3 group childcare can be answered in advance at the Family Services Center of the Equal Opportunities Office.

All parents whose children are currently supervised or have been supervised in one of the groups, are asked to fill out an evaluation form for quality assurance purposes. Your feedback helps us to further develop and improve our services.
