Fiber reinforced composites meet air and space applications more and more frequently. Especially thermoplastic composites are used because you can go in series production. High viscosity limits use because of consolidation issues. Appling polymer on each single filament makes consolidation much easier und composites quality can be improved.
Task
Develope single filament polymer application technique for carbon fibers and test the material in Terms of air and space requirements. You can buildyour own set up and push your own ideas forwards.
Requirements
Technical backround and understanding for Engineering issues. Backround on carbon fiber , Composite or polymer material is helpfull.
