Excellence Cluster: Internet of Production

The Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production" (IoP) has the vision of enabling secure information availability of all relevant data in real time, at any time and any place, and is considered the centrepiece of Industry 4.0. In this way, the IoP paves the way for a new era of production. This new era of production must be about achieving not only economic but also ecological and social goals. Data-based optimisation of production planning according to economic, ecological and social criteria is an essential part of achieving this goal. The complexity of the design of production planning increases significantly due to these multidimensional target criteria, so that innovative approaches are required. The development of a simulation model of production planning has the potential to achieve a sustainable design of production planning and is the goal of this project.

Task

Possible tasks: - Development of a target system for sustainable production planning. - Development of a conceptual model for the sustainable configuration of production planning - Implementation of a simulation model for the sustainable configuration of production planning - Conducting simulation studies

Requirements

Interest in the field of sustainability and production Optional: Experience in the field of discrete simulation
