Zhejiang University is one of the oldest universities in China. It dates back to 1897, when the Qiushi Academy was founded. The university with its seven campuses is located in the City of Hangzhou, one of the most picturesque cities in the country. With strong research in many disciplines, ZJU is in the top three universities on the Chinese mainland and the top 100 in the Times Higher Education and QS World University rankings. 18 disciplines at ZJU were selected for China's Double-First Class Initiative.
