International Cooperation Online (ICON)

The continuous improvement of teaching and learning through meaningful use of didactically sound methods of blended learning as well as strategic and complementary international collaborations have high priority at RWTH.

To support co-teaching with lecturers abroad and offer a portfolio of virtual mobility options within the ENHANCE network, RWTH is launching a second edition of the International Cooperation Online (ICON) competition.

Ten English-taught online or blended learning teaching formats receive funding with up to 15,000 euros each. The aim is to foster collaboration between RWTH students and ENHANCE partner universities and implement English-language MOOCs on edX in collaboration with the University departments involved, the CLS, and the ENHANCE partners.

The submission deadline is January 31, 2024.

Submissions are made via the ICON ENHANCE call in the ERS Portal. Please fill in all mandatory fields and upload the application; subsequently you will receive a confirmation of submission by email.

For further information please refer to the call for proposal (de), which is available for download.

In the first call, 11 internationally oriented online teaching formats were funded with up to 15,000 euros each. An overview of the successful projects is provided below.
