About 170 parties from the university participated in the third Teaching Talk on June 26, 2013. The afternoon was filled with reports and discussions on the Teaching Institutional Strategy and its measures.

From an App to an Institutional Strategy - Renewed Interest at the RWTH Aachen Teaching Talk

The beginning period of studies, that is the transition from school to university, and the qualification of teaching were among the highlights. Information was provided on these topics in the form of presentations and a poster exhibition about the Coordination Office for Projects for Pupils, the school student labs, and projects such as "Flipping the Classroom" and "MOOCs".

The Logbuch Lehre celebrated its premiere. The new blog serves as an information and communication platform for teaching and was introduced during an interview with Professor Krieg and the advisor to the blog, Christoph Wenzel.

Two award ceremonies rounded out the comprehensive program. For the first time, Vice-Rector Doris Klee honored researchers with the honorary title RWTH Lecturer. The lecturers, who have achieved outstanding performance in teaching and research, retain these titles for three years.

The winners of the student idea competition for a mobile app received their certificates from Vice-Rector Aloys Krieg, the speaker for students in the Senate, Raphael Kiesel, and the ETS and RWTH Aachen Blended Learning Coordinator, Professor Nacken. Students determined the first to fourth places after listening to the finalists' short presentations during the morning as part of the ETS day.
