NRW-Fellows for Digital Teaching at RWTH
Fellowships for Innovation in Digital Education for RWTH Lecturers
Since 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Stifterverband have been awarding Fellowships for Innovation in Digital Education to support educators in implementing their innovative concepts for digital education.
In 2019, tandem fellowships were awarded for the first time to educators who cooperate with a didactics specialist or teaching/learning researcher or with an educator from a different subject area or university.
Between 2016 and 2019, 35 educators at RWTH Aachen University were awarded fellowships to develop and implement their teaching concepts. Through their commitment, they contribute to sustainably improving the quality of teaching and its digitization at the university.
Starting in 2020, universities in NRW are responsible for organizing an annual university-wide competition to award "Fellowships for Innovation in Digital Teaching". To this end, each university receives a grant of 50,000 Euros annually to support a project by one or more teachers.
