Teaching Staff Core Area
This core area is based on the belief that the continuous qualification of teaching staff is decisive for the quality of teaching. This includes professors, academic staff, and student tutors at our university.
Excellent quality of teaching significantly maintains the students' interests in their subjects and increases their identification with the university. With about 2300 positions among academic staff and more than 30000 students, RWTH Aachen is equipped with a number of excellent and highly motivated persons for research and teaching.
This distinct involvement fosters substantial "fun through teaching" as well as the retention and mediation of "fun through teaching". Resulting from this is a collection of measures for the regular and systematic qualification of the entire teaching staff, which is already closely linked to initiated human resources development strategies and further expanded, through the framework of the excellent initiative for research.
