First Term Survey

The RWTH first term survey gives all of our freshmen in Bachelor's or Staatsexamen programs the opportunity to comment on their first weeks at university. For this, you will receive an email inviting you to participate in the online survey.

RWTH Aachen and the first term survey team thank each and everyone of you for taking part!

Reasons for participating

• The survey gives you an opportunity to reflect on your first weeks at university and to evaluate the advising and guidance offers as well as the general study conditions at RWTH Aachen.
• You are helping to secure quality control and further quality development of studies and teaching.
• Later generations of students will profit from your experiences.

 

Why have a first term survey?

RWTH Aachen considers the beginning of studies to be a decisive period for later academic and university success. This is why students, enrolled for the first core semester of a Bachelor's course of study during the winter semester at RWTH Aachen, are asked about the start of their studies.

The goal of the survey is obtain knowledge about new students' situations at the start of studies. This information is analyzed within the framework of Quality Management Teaching, made available to those involved, and then mutually discussed. As a result, consistent improvement in study conditions and service and advising offers can be achieved.

Participation in the first term survey is voluntary. Any and all feedback is valuable for ensuring significant results for the quality assurance of studies and teaching at RWTH Aachen.
