Teaching and Learning Mission Statement

The RWTH Senate unanimously approved the mission statement for teaching and learning on April 20, 2023. This mission statement was developed in a process lasting several years with the participation of teachers, students, the faculties, committee representatives, and university management.

As a binding foundation for quality management in teaching and learning, it formulates a common self-image as well as overarching educational goals for a modern, future-oriented, and sustainable form of teaching, learning, and testing at RWTH.

It is also a prerequisite for system reaccreditation.

The Teaching and Learning Guidelines, which were also adopted by the Senate, specify the Teaching Mission Statement of RWTH. They serve as a guideline for designing and further developing the degree programs for which the faculties are responsible. Further information can be found on the intranet.
