As of issue 75 (summer semester 2023), the print version of "keep in touch" will be discontinued and the magazine will be offered exclusively as an online magazine. This will create the opportunity to offer more content, image galleries, videos and links to other exciting topics. RWTH internal delivery to professors will cease as of issue 74 (winter semester 2022/2023)
The decision to make the "keep in touch" magazine purely digital has come about from the sustainability initiative of RWTH Aachen University and its efforts to save resources and thus protect the environment. On the following page you will find the current as well as all older issues which you can read at any time.
You don't want to miss an issue despite the discontinuation of postal delivery? Then you are welcome to sign up for the digital subscription: To be notified when the new "keep in touch" is published twice a year, simply log in to the RWTH Alumni Portal. Under the tab "Stay informed" you can activate the digital subscription. Please remember to enter a valid e-mail address in the portal!

It was a sensation. The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote of good news for Germany and the FAZ spoke of a double whammy. Infineon set itself a new, ambitious target business model in November and announced plans for a new facility in Dresden – at five billion euros, it would be the largest single investment in the company's history. "With the planned investment in a new facility, we are broadening the basis for our accelerated profitable growth course," said CEO Jochen Hanebeck, explaining the move.
The Dortmund native has been a member of the Management Board since 2016 and has held various management positions at Infineon for 28 years. Directly after graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from RWTH, Hanebeck began his professional career there in 1994. At that time, the firm was still part of the Siemens Group. In the interview with Alumni Magazine, Hanebeck talks about the challenges of his new position and his extraordinarily successful career at Infineon. Of course, he also looks back on his student days in Aachen and has some tips for future generations of students.
