Springorum Commemorative Coin and Borchers Badge Awards
For decades, RWTH Aachen University and proRWTH – Freunde und Förderer der RWTH Aachen e. V. have jointly awarded the Borchers Badge and the Springorum Commemorative Coin.

All award winners received notification of their award and the opportunity to purchase tickets by email and in the mail in July 2024.
The Borchers Badge is awarded to all individuals who pass their doctoral examination with "summa cum laude" (distinction). The Springorum Commemorative Coin is awarded to the best Master's, Diplom, Staatsexamen, and Magister graduates (up to the top 10 percent of a year) of all faculties.
All award winners from summer semester 2023 and winter semester 2023/24 are eligible to attend the Graduation Celebration in September, 2024.
All participating award winners will receive a graduate cap and sash as a gift from the University. These caps and sashes stand out from those of the other graduates as they are a different color (orange tassel). The caps and sashes will be handed out at the distribution stand in the proRWTH area from 10:30am to 11:30am upon presentation of your ticket.
