Registering for the 2023 Graduation Celebration
The 2023 Graduation Celebration will take place on September 2, 2023. Graduates from all RWTH faculties and degree programs (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diplom, Staatsexamen, Magister, doctorate) who completed their degree in summer semester 2021 and winter semester 2022/23 are invited to attend the Graduation Celebration.
Participation Requirements in 2023
The following graduates are eligible to attend the event:
Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, State Examination, or Magister students
These students must have taken their last exam for their degree between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023, for their graduation to fall within the eligible semesters.
Doctoral Candidates
Doctoral graduates must have fully completed the doctoral degree process in summer semester 2022 or winter semester 2022/23. This means the date they received their doctoral degree certificate must be between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023.
Transitioning From Bachelor's to Master's
Bachelor's graduates who completed their last exam in April 2023 – and, therefore, after the official end of winter semester 2022/23) – and can retroactively enroll in a Master's program at RWTH beginning summer semester 2023 are also eligible.
Model Course of Study in Medicine or Dentistry
An exception applies to these courses of study, as these students complete their degrees very early on in the semester. Thus, graduates of winter semester 2022/23 and summer semester 2023 are eligible to participate.
The Registration Process for the 2023 Graduation Celebration
There are two steps that you need to complete to register for the 2023 Graduation Celebration:
1. Pre-Registration
From now until May 31, 2023, you can pre-register to participate in the Graduation Celebration via our registration portal. We will also write to all (potential) graduates by e-mail in April 2023.
2. Buying Tickets
All pre-registered individuals who are confirmed as having graduated in the relevant time period will receive an email from us in July 2023 with information on how to purchase tickets for themselves and up to three companions to attend the Graduation Celebration.
