Your Master Has Open Admission in a Higher Course Semester
The responsible faculty has not restricted the number of study placements available in higher course semesters and can offer a study placement to all prospective students who fulfill the admission requirements and have been placed in their desired semester by the examination board.
Application Deadline in Higher Course Semesters of Open Admission Courses of Study
Beginning summer semester 2018, an application via RWTHonline is required in order to be admitted to the higher course semesters of open admission courses of study. This application is required so that we can review that you fufill the formal and technical admission requirements. If you fulfill the requirements you will be issue a letter of admission, which may include additional requirements to complete, and you can enroll via RWTHonline.
Applications for a study placement in a higher course semester of an open admission Master's course of study must be submitted by January 15 for a summer semester and by July 15 for the winter semester.
If you are admitted, you must include a certificate of good standing with your enrollment documents. This confirms that from discipline's point of view, there is no reason why you cannot begin studies at RWTH Aachen and that you have the right to take exams in this course of study at RWTH Aachen.
You receive the certificate of good standing and the placement confirmation from the responsible examination board, meaning the examination board for the course of study, you wish to begin. Here you can find a template for a certificate of good standing.
