Does my course of study have open admission or restricted admission?

Some courses of study at RWTH Aachen have open admission in the first course semester and higher course semesters. This means: If you fulfill the admission requirements, such as passing the Abitur, you will receive a letter of admission from RWTH directly after submitting an application and can then enroll.

Other courses of study at RWTH Aachen have restricted admission in the first course semester and higher course semesters. This means: If you would like to enroll in a restricted admission course of study, you must first apply for a study placement. You can apply via RWTHonline.

We explain how to enroll in the first or higher coourse semester of a Bachelor course of study on the pages Enrollment in the First Course Semester, Enrollment in a Higher Course Semester, and Enrollment in Bachelor Studies for Internationals.
