Join Us! Calling All RWTH Members and External Partners
Whether you are an RWTH student, an employee or an organization, there are various ways for you to contribute to the Welcome Week program and support new international students in Aachen.
Information for RWTH Students and Employees
Any RWTH student or participant of the Certificate International program for employees can become a Welcome Week volunteer and support the organization team with diverse tasks, such as:
- greeting and guiding students throughout the events
- service support during catering
- leading small groups during activities
- logistical help with installations and dismantling
- event staff general tasks
All Welcome Week volunteers are trained beforehand by the organization team during an obligatory and detailed briefing. The tasks and events are assigned by the organization team depending on the availability of the volunteers and on the support needed in the respective events.
RWTH students can register as volunteers via email by August 1 for the winter semester, or by February 1 for the summer semester at the latest and they can have their commitment recognized as a component for the Certificate International. The Welcome Week team is happy to provide further information on the requirements to complete the component.
Participants in the Certificate International program for employees need to inform the program coordinator about their wish to volunteer during Welcome Week before contacting the organization team.
Information for RWTH Organizations and External Partners
Student organizations, RWTH services and institutions of the StädteRegion and Stadt Aachen are welcome to take part in the Welcome Week program.
The Welcome Week offers an excellent platform to promote services to a wider audience and provide first-hand advice to the international newcomers before the start of the semester, whether through online or on-site presentations, large fairs or networking events.
Get in touch with our Welcome Week Team via email to find out how and where you can present your organization.
