Program Description
The M.Sc. Management and Engineering in Production Systems (M.Sc. MME-PS) is an interdisciplinary program conducted by the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) and RWTH School of Business and Economics. In this unique program students will gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of production technology, production systems and production-related processes, while also learning essential business management skills and thus building a strong application orientated background to plan and manage industrial projects.
Degree Content
The M.Sc. MME-PS is a full-time study program on campus in Aachen, leading to a M.Sc. degree
to be awarded from RWTH Aachen University. The program particularly focuses on industrial R&D practice in the four areas of organization, manufacturing technology, production machines and resources, and quality management. Students will learn to plan cutting-edge factories by selecting innovate production machines and assembly systems while also knowing how to optimize management control systems for more efficient financial planning and cost analysis.

Prerequisites
A prerequisite for starting this course of studies is a first university degree which proves the necessary background education as determined in the examination regulations. Furthermore, a GRE certificate with the min. scores of 145 VR, 160 QR, 3 AW as well as practical work experience of at least 6 months are mandatory admission requirements. The examination board determines whether the applicant fulfills the entrance requirements.
Career Prospects
After successfully completing the Master's program, graduates of the M.Sc. MME-PS will become industrial engineers with a sound knowledge of key management processes best prepared for leading positions in engineering companies that shape the economy of the 21st century. Graduates can work at the interface between engineering and business issues as Application & Manufacturing Engineer, Risk Manager or Project Manager. After being awarded the RWTH Aachen University Master's Degree, graduates will be qualified for doctoral studies as well.
