In my view, there is a clear sense that the new Black-Green state government here in North Rhine-Westphalia and the new federal government in Berlin have created a climate that is positive for further expansion of renewable energies. The will is there, but we need an even stronger focus on the expansion of renewables, including wind energy.

All over the world, intensive research is being conducted into the production and the clean and efficient use of fuels. Particularly well known are e-fuels, that is, fuels based on renewably generated electricity, and biofuels such as ethanol or biodiesel, which are the most widely used biofuels today. We at the FSC are going one step further by combining the molecules and processes from the e-fuels and biofuels to create what we call bio-hybrid fuels.
