Justice, Fairness, and Equality in the Education System

German Society for Information, Counseling, and Therapy at Universities to meet in Aachen.

How can justice, fairness, and equality be ensured in the education system? And what impact does professional counseling have in creating and maintaining fair and equal conditions? These and other questions will be addressed by around 250 academic advisors and psychological specialists from all over Germany at the Annual Conference of the Gesellschaft für Information, Beratung und Therapie an Hochschulen (GIBeT) e.V. from September 13 to 15, 2023, at RWTH Aachen University.

The focus will be on various aspects of social and educational justice: Gender, immigration background, non-academic family background, socio-economic background, inclusion, freedom of career choice, and technology literacy. The conference is organized by RWTH’s Student Advice Centre, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
