A celebratory ceremony to mark the first students graduating from the Fast Track Bachelor Admission program, or FTBA for short, was held on April 25, 2019.

The invitees featured vie-rector for international affairs Professor Ute Habel, as well as representatives from the Goethe Institute and the DAAD.

RWTH Aachen University offers particularly talented international school students, who typically would have had to complete two semesters at a university in their home country or attend a Studienkolleg according to German regulations, the opportunity to directly begin Bachelor studies in the subjects mechanical engineering, business administration and engineering: mechanical engineering, and computational engineering science.

The first FTBA cohort, who started their studies in Winter Semester 2014/15, successfully completed their Bachelor studies in mechanical engineering this past winter semester. The celebration, which took place at Ford Hall at Super C, honored the first graduates of the program, as well as the students who made it onto the Dean’s List.

In addition, students starting the program in Winter Semester 2018/19 were welcomed into the second semester of their studies. Around 40 new international students are expected to begin in Winter Semester 2019/20 as part of this program.
