Investor Frank Thelen, famous for being on a popular Apprentice-style TV show in Germany, will give a talk on Thursday, May 16, 2019, as part of the event RWTH Innovation Meets Frank Thelen.
The investor will kick off the event with his talk on Germany as a Center of Technology at 6pm at Hall 1 of the RWTH Main Building, Templergraben 55 in Aachen. Following his talk, Thelen will join two other members to form a jury and together they will assess five different Aachen-based start-ups in a pitching competition.
Professor Malte Brettel from RWTH’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group (WIN) will host the event. Brettel will also outline the activities and objectives of RWTH Innovation GmbH and the Exzellenz Start-Up Center project, which is being funded by the German State of North-Rhine Westphalia and aims to turn Aachen into the largest technology incubator in Europe.
The event finishes at 9pm with an open networking opportunity. Please note that the event will be held in German.
