With the "FAMOS für Familie" award, RWTH Aachen each year honors executive personnel who have made particular efforts to support their staff in balancing work and family responsibilities.
This was already the twelfth time the award has been presented to deserving recipients, who also received 500 euros in prize money each. All employees of the university had the opportunity to nominate their superiors for “Famos für Familie.”
The following award winners were selected by the jury:
Professor Christina Büsing, Junior Professor for Stable and Robust Management of Health Care Services; Professor Ingrid Isenhardt and Dr. Frank Hees, Cybernetics Lab IMA & IfU; Professor Ingo Kurth, Institute of Human Genetics at RWTH Aachen University Hospital; Professor Oliver Lorz, International Economics Research Area; Olav Rittich, Department of Human Resources; and Professor Katharina Schmitz, Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems.
The "Nachhaltig FAMOS" prize was awarded for the second time. This prize is awarded to executives who have previously been among the prize winners and who are committed to family-friendly personnel management in the long term. This year's winner is Professor Frank Thomas Piller from the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management.
