Due to the measures brought in to fight the coronavirus outbreak, we are offering a virtual BeBuddy webinar instead of in-person meetings. If you are interested in participating, please contact project coordinator Dominika Dudzik.
BeBuddy Training and Intercultural Training
First of all, thank you very much for your interest in the BeBuddy program and your willingness to support your international fellow students at RWTH Aachen University.
We have split the BeBuddy training into two components:
- A digital BeBuddy seminar as a prerequisite for participating in the BeBuddy program and
- An intercultural training that will take place in person at a later date, as a prerequisite for the Certificate International.
The virtual buddy training (1.) optimally prepares you for your activities as a buddy. You will learn everything regarding the matching process, the tasks, and the general conditions up to being certified as a buddy. Further, you will complete a short homework assignment, which should not take more than 20 minutes. The virtual buddy training currently takes place once a month. You have one week to watch the training video, which takes approximately 40 minutes, and then to submit your homework to the project coordinator.
The half-day intercultural training (2.) prepares you for diverse experiences in an international context and aims to promote intercultural skills. The target groups are all interested RWTH students and future buddies. Participants must attend the intercultural training in person. Therefore, due to the coronavirus-related restrictions, you will only be able to catch up on the intercultural part at a later date.
Please note: If you are interested, please send an email to the project coordinator to register.
