RWTH Professor Dieter Georg Senk Honored by Two Universities

Professor Dr. Dieter Georg Senk, Chair of Metallurgy of Iron and Steel at RWTH Aachen University, has now received an honorary doctorate from VŠB Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. Also, he is now an “Honorary Professor” at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, P. R. China.

Senk, born in 1957, studied Ferrous Metallurgy at Clausthal University of Technology, from which he received his doctorate (“Dr.-Ing.”) in 1985. Between 1981 and 2001, Senk headed various metallurgical research departments at Thyssen Stahl AG, Duisburg; since 2001, he has been Chair of Metallurgy of Iron and Steel at RWTH Aachen.
