Schüßler Prize 2012 for Two RWTH Aachen Students
Students Lisanne Meinerzhagen and Christian Schmitz were honored with the Schüßler Prize 2012. The prize was awarded by the Düsseldorf engineering consultancy Schüßler-Plan together with the RWTH Aachen Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The prize includes a scholarship for a stay abroad during the students’ studies. Meinerzhagen is planning to study abroad in Florence, and Schmitz will continue his studies in Spanish Valencia.
Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Vallée, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Schüßler, Managing Partner of Schüßler-Plan Consult welcome the guests to the award ceremony. The awards were handed out by Univ.- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Josef Hegger, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The Schüßler-Prize has been annually awarded since 1995 by Schüßler-Plan Consult, in order to support particularly talented students in civil engineering. The promotion of technical qualifications as well as further personal development are at the focus of the award. To date, 36 RWTH Aachen students have received this honor.
