German-Chinese Summer School 2012

This October, Early-career researchers from China and Germany have come together in Aachen to participate in the German-Chinese Summer School organized by RWTH Professor Dieter Weichert and Dr. Lele Zhang from Beijing Jiaotong University, PR of China.    

The Summer School aimed at facilitating the exchange between early-career researchers from the two countries. The participants from China were introduced to Germany's higher education landscape and had the opportunity to experience and explore German culture - the program included lectures, visits to labs and other facilities, panel discussions, as well as participation in cultural events. The Summer School received funding from the DFG's Sino-German Center for Research Promotion.

Next year, the Summer School is planned to take place in Beijing.
