27th UMBRELLA Symposium in Jülich

27/03/2013

The focus of the 27th UMBRELLA symposium held at Forschungszentrum Jülich was on classical solid state research and on topics from the fields of energy and information technology.

The symposium, titled “Nanoscale Physics and Chemistry as Drivers for Future Technological Developments”, gave participants the chance to attend about thirty talks and presentations by researchers from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), RWTH Aachen University, and Forschungszentrum Jülich. The symposium also provided a forum for the discussion of plans for collaborative research projects funded by the UMBRELLA cooperation.

UMBRELLA is one of the University’s earliest international research cooperations. The next symposium will be organized by RWTH Aachen in 2014.
