Symposium on Gender in the Sciences

On December 14, 2012, the interdisciplinary symposium "Change of Perspectives - Gender in the Sciences" will take place at RWTH Aachen University. The symposium will investigate the topic of gender in the sciences from various perspectives and highlight its fundamental significance for teaching and learning.

 

The conference is organized by three RWTH scholars whose research centers on gender studies, Professors Ute Habel and Carmen Leicht-Scholten and Dr. Petra Lucht. Together with experts from other universities, such as Professor Beate Krais from TU Darmstadt, they will provide an overview of the broad range of this fascinating field of research and discuss its relevance for science and research.

Also, there will be panel discussion on the topic "Gender in research and teaching: When will the goal be accomplished?"
