Mathematicians Celebrate Their Graduates


The 2012 Graduate Day took place in Aula I of the Main Building. During the celebration, diplomas were given to the successful Bachelor, Master's, and for the first time, teacher training students from the 2011/2012 academic year. All doctoral candidates, who completed their studies this year, were also invited.

The department also honored students and teachers with particular achievements:

The Schöneborn Prizes for the best graduates of a class went to Bachelor students Jakub Both, Sebastian Krämer, Tim Bastian Laux, and Malte Milatz.

The best students of the year were Bastian Haase, Benedikt Karl Schwarzner, Marius Lukas Hermanns, Ömer Sali, Yannic Maus, Matthias Klupsch, Jonathan Martin Fell, Sebastian Schönnenbeck, Malte Milatz, Jakub Wiktor Both, Sebastian Krämer, Tim Bastian Laux, Sebastian Posur, Angela Katharina Klewinghaus, Till Patrick Knoke, and Annabel Prause.

The Student Representative Council also awarded teaching prizes in two categories: the recipient of the award for supportive teaching is Dipl.-Math. Jens Berger. The corresponding honor for lecturers and professors was awarded to Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Sebastian Walcher from the Mathematics Teaching and Research Area.
