23rd International Congress on Acoustics in Aachen
More than 1600 participants expected at the world's largest conference on acoustics.
Acoustics plays an essential role in many scientific fields, such as physics, architecture, urban planning, communications engineering, mechanical engineering, noise protection, biology, and medicine. The 23rd International Congress on Acoustics (ICA) from September 9 to 13, 2019 at the Eurogress in Aachen will focus on the most recent research results, innovations, trends, and concerns in the field of acoustics. The world's largest acoustics conference takes place every three years and is organized by the German Society for Acoustics (DEGA) in cooperation with the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA), the European Acoustics Association (EAA) and the Acoustic Societies of Belgium (ABAV) and the Netherlands (NAG).
More than 1,600 scientists are expected to attend ICA 2019. Professor Michael Vorländer and Professor Janina Fels from the Institute of Technical Acoustics at RWTH Aachen University will open the conference at 9 am on September 9, 2019. More than 1,300 lectures, poster presentations, and 161 sessions will then highlight current research issues in the field of acoustics.
