Research Internships at the Technion

 

As part of the cooperation with the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa - Technicon -, the leading university of technology in Israel, RWTH students have the opportunity to complete research internships at the Israeli educational and research institution. The duration of the research stay should be between two months and one year. The available research areas are as follows:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Biotechnology & Food Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Civil & Environmental Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Education in Technology & Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering & Management
  • Mathematics
  • Materials Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Physics

Students of all three levels (third year Bachelor's students, Master's students, and Doctoral candidates) are invited to complete a research internship at Israel's leading technical university, provided they have a GPA of 80 to 100 points (Grade 2.4) at minimum. Applications can be submitted at any time, but must be received by Technion at least three months prior to the planned research stay. Before applying, students must find a professor at Technion who is agreeable to mentoring them during their internship. To assist you with this, we are providing a list of Faculties/departments as well as of professors at Technion.

Required documents for application include the following:

  • completed Application form
  • a transcript of records (the original from Campus Office) – must be sent via postal service
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • a motivation letter
  • two letters of recommendation from an RWTH professor or instructor

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research has initiated the Young Scientist Research Program Scholarship for projects in the field of water technologies. Information about the scholarship is available on the German-Israeli Cooperation website.
