Product and brand piracy causes annual losses of billions of euros. Globalization, mobility, and changed forms of communication open up new possibilities for forgers. How can a medium-sized company or a scientist in research and development projects prevent the undesired transfer of knowledge? The event series " Warnung Piracy!", organized by AGIT, IHK Aachen, and the RWTH Aachen Patent and Standards Center, will provide information about this. The topic on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 is Technical Product Protection, and will be held from 3 to 6pm. Interested individuals are welcome to attend the event at the SuperC, Templergraben 57 in Aachen. Christina Kippes from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Local Government of North-Rhine Westphalia, will demonstrate in her presentation how companies can protect themselves against economic espionage. Eugenia Gossen from the Institute of Production Management, Technology, and Work Tools at TU Darmstadt will present the "Darmstadt Model" on organizing know-how protection in companies. Horst Lang from Festo AG & Co. KG will discuss various possiblities for technical product production. There will be time afterwards for an open discussion.
