Bilingual Reading and Three-Course Dinner: Benoite Groult

Thursday, October 24, 2019, 7:00pm

Discover an author whose reputation in Germany and France could not be more contradictory while indulging in a delightful three-course dinner. German readers mostly associate Groult with her erotic novel Salt on Our Skin, or “Les vaisseaux du coeur”, published in 1988, while in France she is venerated as one of the greatest representatives of women's rights regarding erotic self-fulfillment, their bodies, equal rights, and self-esteem.

Angela Eickhoff and Soeren Wellens will read selected passages that Professor Angelica Rieger will interpret while guests are savoring a sumptuous seafood menu. The speakers will be happy to answer any questions about the author and her work throughout the evening.
