WDR Big Band at RWTH

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, the award-winning WDR Big Band will play at RWTH Aachen University under the direction of Cuban artist Dafnis Prieto.

The focus of the event will be on music from his album "Back to the Sunset", which was awarded the Grammy in the category "Best Latin Jazz Album" in 2018. In his compositions, Prieto combines the sounds of his native Cuba with those of his adopted home New York, thus creating a diverse, cross-style musical experience.

The event is scheduled to begin at 8pm in the Aula of the RWTH main building, Templergraben 55. Tickets will be available from ASta at RWTH, the Klenkes ticketshop, and Frankenne; the reduced price is 7 euros, the regular price 15 euros (box office 10 euros and 18 euros, respectively).
