The Welcome Service supports newly appointed professors and their families to ensure their smooth and speedy transition to RWTH Aachen. We are committed to helping them successfully navigate the early stages of their new role at the University.

By offering comprehensive support we want to make it as easy as possible for you and your family to settle in to your new environment. We are the central point of contact for questions pertaining to your new job. Depending on what you need, we put you in touch with the right advising staff member. If desired, we offer to provide you with a personalized support services package.
After your official appointment we, together with the Appointment Advising Team, offer advice and support pertaining to your new role at RWTH Aachen. Via the Dual Career Service, we also offer job search information and assistance to your spouse or partner.
In cooperation with your new Faculty, we coordinate all the processes required to get you started in your new role. Furthermore, with our onboarding services, we assist you in your networking activities at the University, provide advice pertaining to leadership and staff management, and give you information practical tips on living in Aachen, e.g. concerning cultural and leisure activities.
Welcome to the heart of Europe! Not only does the unique location of Aachen give you the opportunity for international research collaboration with the nearby universities in Maastricht and Liège. Also make sure to take your time to explore the cultural and culinary diversity of the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion!
