Delegation from Tsinghua University Has Visited RWTH Aachen

Last week, a delegation from Tsinghua University, Beijing, visited RWTH Aachen University. The delegation was officially welcomed by Professor Malte Brettel, Vice-Rector for Industry and Business Relations.

The Rector’s Delegate for Cooperation with China, Professor Reinhart Poprawe, lauded the 30-year partnership between the universities. The program for the delegation included discussions about future opportunities for collaboration and visits to various university departments and institutes.

On the occasion of the visit, RWTH Aachen also provided information about study and continuing education opportunities for RWTH students, researchers and staff at Tsinghua University. Between 2013 and 2016, the initiative will receive 250000 euros in funding from “Strategic Partnerships Program” by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.
