RWTH Aachen's Proposal to the Female Professors Program II Successful
RWTH Aachen's proposal to the Female Professors Program II was successful: The university will receive up to 2.25 million euros as startup financing for appointing three female professors.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the federal states will assume the costs in the first five years. 150000 euros are available for each professorship annually. The goal is to increase the number of female professors at universities, universities of applied sciences, and arts universities.
The first call for the Female Professors Program was in 2007. At that time RWTH Aachen acquired 1.5 million euros.
