Concept

This project aims at the development and validation of a business model for the environmental consulting company Carbon Minds. Carbon Minds will construct a comprehensive database for environmental data on chemicals and commercialize two services: “Environmental Supply Chain Optimization” and “Climate-Policy Risk Assessment”. These services build on the innovative software-tool COMPASS developed within the Climate-KIC Flagship Project “enCO2re-ecology”. COMPASS enables the modelling of material flows, environmental impacts, market mixes, prices and costs within the chemical industry at an unprecedented level of detail. In parallel to the definition of the business model, we will develop a professional version of the COMPASS software and database and demonstrate our services to potential customers based on two industrial case studies. The work carried out in this project provides a strong basis for the market entry of Carbon Minds in 2018 or early 2019.
