RWTH Students Receive Schüßler Award 2013
Earlier this month, RWTH students Neven Boyanov and Melanie Franke received the Schüßler Prize 2013, which is awarded to outstanding students in the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The prize winners will receive a study abroad scholarship to further develop their competencies abroad. Boyanov will continue his studies at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbanel, Australia; Franke has decided to spend her study abroad period at École Centrale de Marseille, France.
Professor Dirk Vallée, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Schüßler, Managing Partner of Schüßler-Plan Consult, welcomed the guests to the award ceremony.The awards were handed out by Professor Josef Hegger, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The Schüßler-Prize has been annually awarded since 1995 by Schüßler-Plan Consult in order to support particularly talented students in civil engineering. The promotion of technical qualifications as well as further personal development are at the focus of the award.
To date, 40 RWTH Aachen students have received this honor and embarked on study abroad projects at 24 international universities.
