Title
EIT Health Accelerator Local Training Programme
Concept
The training programmes will bring together entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs as well as investors keen to learn of the opportunities in the health living and active ageing fields (e.g. ageing markets/demographic change) using their technical knowledge (financing, IP, CE, regulatory schemes, GxP etc.). Local trainings enable Accelerator participants and applicants to meet and interact with others who are also interested in improving health care products/services. The aim of EIT Health Local Trainings is to build up a package of services together with Market Coach Network which supports the innovative SMEs, start-ups and business ideas, provides them – together with Campus programs – market and entrepreneurial knowledge in order to bring ideas to national and international markets in the form of innovative products or services. Local Training Programs will be dedicated to the participants and applicants of Accelerator and RIS Activities as Proof of Concept/Head Start Projects, Business Plan Aggregator and InnoStars Awards to improve pitching skills and support them during the activities. The trainings will focus on evaluating and crafting healthcare start-up business models through case study analysis. Improve critical thinking about healthcare entrepreneurship by reading, discussing, and analysing case studies and writing a business plan. The courses will help how to create successful global business innovations in health care that can better meet consumer and social needs. The Accelerator participants will learn to evaluate opportunities and gain an understanding of the elements necessary for viable healthcare business models. The trainings need to focus on the factors that critically shape new healthcare ventures: “intrapreneurship,” entrepreneurship, principles of innovation process, regulatory issues, patent law, financing including available grants, accountability and the market forces that impact the healthcare innovation process.
