Training to become a mathematic-technical software developer lasts three years and ends with a final exam at the IHK. In addition to training in mathematics, computer science, and programming at university institutions and IT companies in the region, apprentices complete a dual Bachelor courseof study in Scientific Programming at the FH Aachen. Many then enroll in a Master's course of study – either at RWTH or FH Aachen, or in the Master's courses of study "Artificial Intelligence“ or "Operations Research“ at the University of Maastricht.
