The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa is the oldest university in Israel. Three Nobel prize winners are among the 600 faculty members of the renowne technical university. A university agreement has existed between RWTH and the Technion since 2006. The university offers not only regular study abroad. Bachelor, Master, and PhD students also have the following opportunities:

As an integral part of the Umbrella Collaboration between Technion, RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich, a joint symposium is organized annually, at which point the Umbrella Award, including prize money of 5,000 euros, is also presented to an outstanding scientist. Beginning 2018, a summer and winter school program will be offered once a year for doctoral candidates. If interested, please contact Thomas Czirnich.
