This Seminar gives precious support on your way as Juniorprofessor or Group Leader. You will get suggestions and tips on how to be successcul.
The seminar is based on Mitsos’ experience and thus tailored to related disciplines (Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics) and research universities.
The main goal of the seminar is to make the participants aware of the many issues they will be facing in their role as group leaders.
The format is presentation by Prof. Mitsos and discussion in the group.

Qualification of the Instructor / Coach
Alexander Mitsos is a Full Professor (W3) in RWTH Aachen University, and the Director of the Laboratory for Process Systems Engineering (AVT.SVT), comprising 40 research and administrative staff. He also has a joint appointment at Forschungsentrum Jülich where he is a director of IEK-10 Energy Systems Engineering. Prior appointments include a junior research group leader position in the Aachen Institute of Computational Engineering Science and the Rockwell International Assistant Professorship at MIT. Prof. Mitsos has successfully set up research groups and mentors several postdoc and group leaders.
