What scholarship programs and funding organizations are out there? Which values do they emphasize? What are the requirements that need to be met to receive a scholarship? Who can get a scholarship? How much funding is available, and what types of funding are available? What are the application deadlines?

At this central information event, you will receive answers to all of these questions and learn more specifics about which funding opportunities through scholarships are available. You will have a chance to virtually meet representatives of the following state-sponsored organizations:

  • Avicenna-Studienwerk
  • Cusanuswerk e.V.
  • Evangelisches Studienwerk e.V. Villigst
  • Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung e.V.
  • Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit
  • Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung e.V.
  • Hans-Böckler-Stiftung
  • Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung e.V.
  • Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V.
  • Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung e.V.
  • Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft gGmbH
  • Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes e.V.

We will also give you an introduction to the RWTH Education Fund.

At 6pm we will start with the main Zoom meeting and give you a short presentation of the individual scholarship programs. We will explain what they have in common but focus more on what sets them apart. Afterward, you will have an opportunity to text or chat with representatives of the individual scholarship programs in breakout rooms for about 30 to 40 minutes, where you can also have any specific questions answered.

This event is open to all RWTH students. It is aimed in particular at committed and high-achieving students from all disciplines. Unfortunately, secondary school students and parents cannot participate. For information on the Student Advice Center's lecture for high school students on "Insights Into Getting a Scholarship," please visit the lecture webpage.
